Leading communications organizations recognize Coca-Cola Consolidated’s accomplishments in multiple communications disciplines

At Coca-Cola Consolidated, our 17,000 Teammates pour their hearts into their work every day. We empower them  to serve and assist others to reach their full potential while achieving their own. This includes recognition. From Teammate shoutouts on the Company’s One Team digital communications channel, to celebrating work anniversaries and more, these victories can be big or small. Recently, the Corporate Communications team was nationally recognized with six Telly Awards and a nomination for an executive communications award by Ragan & PR Daily.

This year marked the 45th edition of the Telly Awards – an award that recognizes work that exceeds the boundaries of creativity beyond the camera frame. The awards are focused on the expansion of creativity, storytelling and embracing new technology. Each year, more than 13,000 global entries are judged by a council of 250 leading experts.

The Corporate Communications team created exemplary written and visual projects, leading to numerous victories. Coca-Cola Consolidated took home one gold award in the Sustainability category for a video that told the story of a local Boy Scout inspiring his community to recycle. We won two silver awards for our back-to-school backpack campaign video in the Corporate Social Responsibility category and our product “Rotation” video in the Training category. The team also took home three bronze awards for our 2023 Safety Rodeo Hype Reel, Employee Value Promise and Space Management team videos.

James Ziegelbauer, Multimedia Manager at Coke Consolidated, is proud to work with a team dedicated to showcasing Coca-Cola Consolidated stories. Moreover, winning six nationally recognized awards is a major accomplishment for the team and the Company.

“Being recognized by our peers on a national scale is greatly validating to the team’s hard work and is another method of how we can be inspired by the work that we do,” James said. “We’re very excited to be able to showcase our team’s success and the impact we have.”

Along with the Telly Award victories, Coca-Cola Consolidated was honored with a Ragan and PR Daily Content Marketing Award nomination within the Executive Visibility category. This award celebrates the most successful campaigns, initiatives, people, and teams in the communication, public relations, marketing and employee well-being industries.

This nomination is an immense accomplishment for the team.

“It’s exciting to be nominated as a finalist for Ragan’s PR Content Marketing Award,” said Liz Costa, Director of Internal Communications at Coke Consolidated. “The submission was focused on our quarterly campaign to humanize senior leadership, enhance connectivity, and reach our field and warehouse Teammates. Coca-Cola Consolidated’s devotion to engaging our Teammates in a variety of operations is one of our primary goals. After a full year, we achieved a 67% increase in overall engagement in 2023. I’m thrilled that our efforts to connect with our frontline teammates are creating opportunities for them to feel connected to our leadership and to Coke Consolidated,” she added.
