CHARLOTTE, NC, Feb. 19, 2025 – Coca-Cola Consolidated is continuing its commitment to environmental responsibility by collaborating with Tepper Sports & Entertainment (TSE) to expand front-of-house recycling solutions at Bank of America Stadium. The Company worked with TSE to identify opportunities to optimize waste disposal and encourage guests to recycle aluminum and plastic bottles. As a result, 84 additional recycling containers were recently installed in designated hospitality areas on the 300 and 400 levels just in time for the Charlotte FC home opener on March 1 at 2 p.m.
The installation of recycling containers adds to the recycling bins that are already stationed in the concourses, suites and other hospitality areas at Bank of America Stadium. A number of recycling containers are paired with a trash container to help guests properly dispose of their waste.
“As Charlotte’s local Coca-Cola bottler and the official beverage provider for Charlotte FC and the Carolina Panthers, we are thrilled to expand eco-friendly practices at Bank of America Stadium,” said Esther Moberly, Sustainability Senior Manager for Coca-Cola Consolidated. “Together, we’re taking important steps to increase recycling capture and ensure that sustainability becomes a seamless part of the fan experience.”
By increasing capture in the recycling efforts at Bank of America Stadium, Coca-Cola Consolidated and TSE are creating efficiencies in ensuring recyclable materials are properly sorted and processed for reuse.
“Sustainability is important to Tepper Sports & Entertainment, and we’re continuously looking for ways to enhance our efforts,” said Joe Flannigan, Senior Director of Engineering and Sustainability at Tepper Sports & Entertainment. “Through our collaboration with Coca-Cola Consolidated, we’ve been able to identify and implement meaningful recycling solutions that make it easier for fans to do their part.
